[All Church] Fall Retreat 2009!

Hello Cornerstone!  Are you ready for the Fall Retreat?  It's only a
few days away!

I want to take a minute or two and offer some last minute reminders as
well as ask for a couple of favors.

First and foremost, registration starts at 6:00 and continues until
7:30.  If you peruse the Cornerstone web site
(http://www.cornerstoneisu.org/ and click on "event calendar") you'll
find a link to both directions and a list of packing reminders.  My
lovely wife wants me to remind you that it may get chilly at night
(the forecast calls for a low of 56 degrees) and the cabins may get a
bit on the cold side.  Personally, I think it'll be great sleeping
weather.  Your small group or home group leader should be arranging
rides, so be sure to talk to them if you're wonder how you and your
friends are getting to the retreat.

Secondly, I'd like to call out anyone who owns some great board games
(and is willing to bring some) to bring their games to the retreat.  I
look forward to hearing the trading offers from Settlers of Catan, the
trash talk from Epic Duels (I'm looking at you, Rivera clan), and the
hope and wonder of Mystery Date.  In addition to board games, if
anyone's got some utensils apropos for 'smores, can you bring them?

Finally, if you've not gotten your registration fee in, never fear,
Gina Akers will be stalking the retreat with a clipboard, a night
stick, and an icy stare.  I suggest you find her as soon as possible
to settle up :)  (p.s. Gina, my check is in the mail)
