[All Church] Hi there!

Can you believe that in 4 weeks new students will be arriving!  The class of
2013!  Locally, as a church we have been praying for these young women and
men.  Specifically, that God would allow us the privilege of being used by
Him to see lives changed this year.

 

 I hope each of you have had a refreshing summer and are ready to help us
kick off the Cornerstone year soon!  I'm writing to make sure that you all
received my letter and the 8-week calendar we put together.  Did you?  if
not, let me know.

 

In the letter I talked about our welcome back BBQ (IF YOU'RE COMING DROP ME
A QUICK EMAIL THAT SAYS "BBQ. YES!") happening on August 11th.   One goal we
have every year as a church is to have as many people here and ready to go
when new people arrive.  The goal for the BBQ is to get a chance to mingle
with each other so that the next 2-3 weeks we can stay focused reaching out
to new, and sometimes confused, Freshman and transfer students.  

 

BBQ = hang out with c-stone peeps!  Catch up on the summer.  

New Student Month = spend lots of time with new people.

 

If you weren't planning to come back to school at midnight on Sunday, August
16th,  would you reconsider how God might want to use you to connect with
some new people by coming to Normal on the 11th?  If you need a place to
stay for a couple days because the dorms are closed, NO PROBLEM!  We got the
space.

 

Have a wonderful rest of your summer!  We look forward to having everyone
back soon!
