Hi friends,

I'm sitting in Amsterdam currently. I saw my first windmill the other day
on a canal, pretty cool! I just celebrated Christmas again this morning the
Ukrainian way (a day late for eastern orthodox). With me were men and women
from Romania, Cameroon, Ghana, Russia, India, Singapore, Holland, Bosnia,
Pakistan, Ukraine and of course Dan, from Michigan. Gotta love Dan. We
ate, bulger wheat with raisins, poppy seeds, walnuts and honey and listened
to some festive Ukrainian Christmas music. I also listened as the Russian
vehemently proclaimed to the dean of students that we are celebrating the
way "pagans" do. Not sure what that was about but I get the sense that
she's "not eastern orthodox".

Anyway, after our mini-U.N. festivities, I sat down to figure out when I can
visit the Dutch Resistance Museum. For you WWII buffs, I'll take some
pictures if I can. I'm super stoked to go!!!

I DIGRESS! SO HERE'S THE IMPORTANT STUFF:

Please get to me your database for your letters to Mexico by Monday, January
12th. Remember if you are going and only paying $49 you are required to
write at least 20 letters. If you think you might not or are unable to do
so please talk to me or Ross. If you are going and not writing letters,
please make sure you let Ross know. If you are not going but still writing
letters- THANKS YOU!!!

As of this Friday, all of your support raising material will be available in
the office for you to take. Also, very soon we are putting copies of the
letters online for you to grab and customize to the individuals you are
sending letters to.

His Grace,

Mike
